Project Brief
Billy is a storyteller through and through. The kind that captures not just what’s happening, but what it feels like to be there. From intimate weddings to full-scale commercial shoots, his work under Abiqua Media Co. is rooted in care, clarity, and cinematic craft. Every frame tells a story. Every project is a collaboration.
When Billy came to me, he didn’t need help figuring out what he does. He knew. What he needed was a visual identity that matched the heart and professionalism behind the lens. Something that felt intentional, creative, and built to grow with him.
This project was about translating that unseen layer of Billy’s work, and the way he makes people feel seen and heard, into something visual and lasting. Something that would speak just as clearly as his videos do.
The Solution
We took everything Billy is about with storytelling, movement, presence, and built a mark that could hold all of it. The final logo pulls from the shape of Oregon’s natural landscape, with abstract mountains and valleys built into the form. It also folds in an “AM” monogram, a nod to the name, while hinting at motion and framing.
The small triangle detail in red acts as a subtle reference to the classic recording light. A cue only videographers would clock right away. That was intentional. We wanted it to speak on a few levels. At first glance, it’s clean and geometric. But to those who know, it’s layered.
Color, structure, and spacing were refined to match Billy’s professional style without being sterile, bold or trying too hard. This system was built to last, and to grow with him as his work evolves.
